When my 87-year-old mother suffered a fall at her home in New Jersey, I was frantic.  I live in California and my job as a nationally known news reporter makes my life unpredictable.  Lisa and her associates immediately came to my mother’s assistance at a time when her situation was quite critical.  They saw her through rehab, arranged her transfer between hospitals, helped me obtain her power of attorney, moved her into the proper section of a nursing home and now are working with getting her into assisted living.

Their kindness and caring are unlike anything I have encountered in my life.  They are also exceptionally skilled in navigating the bureaucracy of the government and elder care facilities which can be an overwhelming maze for anyone who has no experience in that area.  I don’t know how I could have done any of this without them.  I think of them as my guardian angels.

Thank you for all of your help with my Aunt over the last five years.  You have a wonderful organization that contributes to the final well being of those who need help, especially in their declining years.  For us, in particular, because we were so distant from the scene and who required an intermediary that we could depend on, your company was ideal.

There are not words enough to thank you for all you did for our parents this past year.  My thanks to you and your staff for the many efforts you made above and beyond the call of duty.  My quality of life and that of my parents would not have been as good without your services.

I cannot thank you enough for how much you added to mom’s quality of life in her last years, as well as the peace of mind you gave me knowing that mom was in good hands. Your intervention on Monday before she died enabled her to die with dignity and comfort in her own home, which had always been her wish and my hope. You provide a wonderful service to people who are in great need and are one of the very few whose life’s work really makes a difference in the world.

My family's experiences with Lisa Curtis, LCSW and her staff were exceptional. She developed a plan that streamlined and improved the care my mother received. Her staff was able to handle numerous crisis situations when my mother was in need of hospitalization. They found wonderful caregivers that took compassionate care of my mother and keep the standards of care for her at the highest level until she passed away.

In February 2015 I was notified that my mother, a 25-year resident of Florida, had been taken to a hospital. Her diagnosis was dementia. She had been placed in a long-term nursing facility in Florida and needed to be moved to a similar facility in New Jersey to be near us. The thought of either driving (the doctor nixed this idea) or flying her up north filled both my husband and myself with anxiety and dread.

I learned about Senior Care Options from an elder care attorney. In addition, one of the facilities I visited also had mentioned Lisa Curtis, a geriatric care manager, and her company, Senior Care Options.  My first introduction to Lisa was over the phone.  I immediately felt comfortable with Lisa and her "we can help you get this done" attitude.  Lisa assured me that she had done this type of "move" before, and was comfortable with elderly patients and their special needs.  She told me she could go to Florida, get my mother on a plane, and bring her directly to the facility here in New Jersey.  When I met Lisa in person a few days later, my positive feelings only grew.  She has a genuine concern for the families and the seniors she is involved with.  I was so RELIEVED that I had found someone I felt so comfortable trusting my mother's welfare during the move.

Lisa did all that and more.  All the planning that was necessary - airport reservations, ground transportation to/from the facilities in Florida and New Jersey, accompanying my mother from facility to airport, on the airplane, and directly into the room at the New Jersey facility, making sure my mother was comfortable, bringing along magazines and music for my mother's comfort and enjoyment on the flight to help her ease her anxiety of flying.  Lisa coordinated the transfer with both facilities in Florida and New Jersey.  Every step of this process Lisa kept me informed, from the preparations to the day of travel.

And when it came time to get the Medicaid application process taken care of, I once again called on Senior Care Options. A daunting experience was made easier by having their staff handle the application process. I had many, many questions, and they patiently answered each and everyone - even the ones I repeated.

I cannot recommend Lisa Curtis and her firm Senior Care Options more.  Two difficult situations were made easier because of Lisa and Senior Care Options. All of the Senior Care Options staff are pleasant, and eager to be of help. Each instance of contact with them I felt that my mother and I were important, that we were a family in need of help and support, not a number on an application file.  They have my sincerest thanks and gratitude.
